Act! Speak! Build! Week

The mission of Habitat is to eliminate poverty housing by providing modest, affordable homes to people in need. However, just building homes will not solve the worldwide issue that is poverty housing. Volunteers need to also raise their voice. Act! Speak! Build! Week is a national week of advocacy dedicated to empower young people to promote Habitat for Humanity and its goals.

Act! Speak! Build! Week for 2016 was a huge success. It was held from April 4th to 8th by the Purdue P Block in between Wetherill and Stewart Center. This year we partnered with Boiler OUT to construct an 8′ x 8′ wooden shed. At the end of the week, it was donated to a partner family in Crawfordsville, IN. We also had a raffle where 10 lucky students won their choice of a habitat t-shirt or care package!

Act! Speak! Build! Week for 2017 will be March 3rd to 7th.
