About Bucket 100
Bucket 100 is an annual fundraiser organized by Purdue Habitat in the Fall of each year. It is a 2-day bike ride where students from Purdue University raise money for the construction of affordable housing by the Habitat student chapter. This ride typically takes place in October and students ride between West Lafayette and Bloomington. This ride is about 130 miles, or approximately 65 miles per day!
No experience is necessary! We provide training rides to help prepare you for the event. We also have bikes that you may rent for a small fee if you do not have a road bike of your own. There is a small registration fee just to allow us to provide you with breakfast, dinner, and an overnight location to stay at along with food and water along your route. We also ask that you raise money through a letter writing campaign asking your family members, friends, neighbors, and other people who might be sympathetic to the cause to sponsor you!
